Home Delaware extends suspension of Preclearing documents to February 18th

Due to the continued high volume of filing submissions, the Delaware Secretary of State, Division of Corporations has extended their suspension of “preclearing” documents through at least February 18th.

The state is hopeful that the updated suspension will allow them to get caught up with the processing of their expedited requests.  Note, delivery of evidence of 24-hour priority submissions is currently three weeks behind and Same Day and 2-hour priority results are now producing inconsistent delivery.  1-hour priority appears to have returned to normal.

As a reminder, cutoff times for priority submissions with the Delaware Secretary of State are as follows:

  • 24 Hour priority – 7:00 PM
  • Same Day priority – 2:00 PM
  • 2-Hour priority – 7:00 PM
  • 1-Hour priority – 9:00 PM
  • Routine priority – 11:59 PM (Friday is 10:30 PM)

Any additional extension will be communicated to you in advance.
