Our guest blog post, written by Tom Pitegoff has been published in the New York Law Journal with the article titled, “Business Lawyers, the Corporate Transparency Act and New York State’s Response.” Published on August 2, 2023, in the article, Tom discusses the upcoming requirement for millions of privately held businesses in the United States to report the identities of their owners and controllers to the U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) starting from January 1, 2024.
