Congratulations to all you long-suffering Philadelphia Eagles fans on your Super Bowl victory! Who says dreams don’t come true?! Now could you please scale down from the light post? The game’s over.
Home of delicious cheesesteaks and cheesecake, Pennsylvania is one of the original 13 colonies founded by William Penn. It is where many historic moments took place during the Revolutionary War, including the approval in Philadelphia of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress and where Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed had their first championship bout. It is also where George Washington staged his daring and historic crossing of the Delaware River to defeat the British forces at Trenton, New Jersey as famously and factually (not true) reenacted in the now popular GEICO commercial.
Pennsylvania is also one of the states that’s part of our ongoing publication series. Like many of the states in our series, the publication requirement only applies to a few entity types which are listed below:
Publication is to take place in the county in which the principal office or place of business of the entity is or, in the case of a proposed entity, its intention to file. Unlike Arizona and New York there is no need to submit affidavits of publication to the Secretary of State. Proofs of publication of such advertising should not be submitted to, and will not be received by or filed in, the Department, but should be filed with the minutes of the corporation. The cost of publication will depend on the newspaper chosen and amount of characters placed in the advertisement. UCS works with you to arrange for publication and to keep your company in compliance.
So go ahead and celebrate this historic win Pennsylvania! Just please put the Liberty Bell back where you found it.
